Away win at Hartlepool

The run goes on
The signs were not great on a grey Sunday morning when with 5 minutes until push back the only non DCHC person around was the Sports attendant. As it turned out they had messed up and got the times wrong leaving us an extra 30 minutes to fine tune our formations and work through a complex array of set-plays which we will never employ.
Finally playing, with Alex agreeing to umpire on his own, we made heavy weather of coping with their stronger player in midfield and tended to try running though their centreback. Gradually warming to the task we started to create chances and Jamsie tucked away the first of his three to open the scoring. Some slightly dubious short corners inevitably led to them equalising, 1-1 at half time.
Helped by the energy of Jamie and Oscar making their first appearances this season, we started to play with a bit more shape and conviction in the second half, deservedly taking the lead and then consolidating it with Jamsie's third, a neat finish from a narrow angle.
Good result after a frustrating delay. Thanks to all who played and Alex for enabling the match to go ahead.
