Durham City Hockey Club's Annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Saturday 1st December at the Library, Durham. Starting at 7pm, the meal is priced at just £20 which includes your 3 course meal and wine. The dress code is casual, with Christmas Jumpers openly encouraged!

To book your place, simply send your choice of food (and wine preference) from the menu below to socials@durhamcityhockey.com or to your team captains. Payment is required in advance, either to your captains or by bank transfer to the club (reference xmas:name) .

STARTERS

• BUTTERMILK FRIED TURKEY AND WAFFLE
Buttermilk fried turkey with a waffle & cranberry slaw. Finished with spring onion & maple syrup.
• TOMATO AND BASIL SOUP (V) (VG)
Tomato & basil soup with white bread and butter (remove butter for vegan option).
• SPICY AVOCADO BITES (V)
Crispy fried avocado bites served with Virgin Mary ketchup, cranberry slaw and topped with spring onion.
• HALLOUMI FRIES (V)
Crispy fried halloumi fries with shredded cos lettuce and cherry bourbon flavour BBQ sauce. Garnished with red chillies.

MAINS

• CURED BEEF RIB
Tender cured rib of beef served with seasonal vegetables, sage & onion roast potatoes and gravy.
• HAND-CARVED TURKEY
Tender slices of turkey breast served with a pig in blanket, stuffing ball, seasonal vegetables, sage & onion roast potatoes, cranberry sauce & gravy.
• BUTTERNUT SQUASH & SAGE MACARONI BAKE (VG)
Butternut squash & sage macaroni bake served with seasonal vegetables, sage & onion roast potatoes and cranberry sauce.
• VEGAN XMAS BURGER (VG)
Toasted bagel filled with cos lettuce, cranberry sauce and a spicy bean burger. Topped with vegan cheese, BBQ jack fruit. Served with fries.
• XMAS BURGER
Toasted sesame seed bun filled with ketchup, mustard, gherkins, red onion & tomato topped with buttermilk fried turkey, cheese sauce, crispy bacon and cranberry sauce. Served with fries.

DESSERTS

• BAKED VANILLA CHEESECAKE (V)
Vanilla flavoured baked cheesecake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream.
• CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE (V)
Chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream.
• CHOCOLATE BROWNIE (V)
Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, chocolate flavoured sauce & caramel sauce.
• BLUEBERRY & PROSECCO CAKE (Contains nuts) (V) (VG)
A ground Almond sponge with blueberries and a Prosecco syrup, lightly brushed with a water icing and vanilla ice cream (remove vanilla ice cream for vegan option).
